The diva has really demonstrated that she does not want to sit back and be labeled a celebrity’s child. Shweta Bachchan’s podcast recently became heated when she reacted to her mother, Jaya Bachchan, remark that she makes everything about herself.

Shweta Bachchan married Nikhil Nanda in 1997, for those who are unaware. Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda are the couple’s two adorable children. Shweta currently resides with her parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan.
In the podcast’s final episode, Navya asked Jaya and Shweta what their favorite aspect of the show was. The experience was described as beautiful by the mother-daughter duo. Shweta stated that she enjoyed it when her mother complimented her on the show.
“My favorite part of the podcast is when my mother says very nice things about me that I have not heard in four decades… that was my favorite part when you both (Jaya and Navya) praised me. I love it.”
Jaya Bachchan responded by saying that Shweta manages to make everything about herself in the end, “Shweta, you always manage to get the… the light has to be on her.
“Even when the whole family is talking, sab ghoom phir ke (when all is said and done), some conversation she’ll bring, and in the end (be like) ‘but, I you know”.
Shweta, however, defended herself by explaining that she possesses a unique talent. She is, after all, the only non-actor in a family of celebrities. She went on to say that it couldn’t always be about them.

“My friends make fun of me, they say it’s a unique talent because no matter what the topic is, ‘she can always bring it back to something about her’.
“Because listen, if I am going to be the only non-public facing actor in this family, some attributes I also have to imbibe right? It can’t just be about you guys all the time. It has to be a little bit about me also,” she said.
