Some fans were not pleased with Kim Kardashian’s appointment as the new “Chief Taste Consultant” for Beyond Meat.
In a new ad (below) shared on Tuesday, May 24, the reality star revealed she was collaborating with the plant-based food company but eagle-eyed viewers ended up dragging her for not actually tasting the product she was promoting!
“She ain’t eat nothing ina video or I’m tripping,” one observer wrote on her Instagram post of the clip, while another commented, “But you didn’t put anything in your mouth…are you really eating this? haha ha.”
Meanwhile, one other follower went as far as referencing Kim’s recent admission of using an extreme diet to fit into her Met Gala gown, posting, “I don’t believe you ate any of that miss starvation.”
Kim is served a variety of meals made with Beyond Meat products in the video. “I believe so strongly in Beyond Meat’s mission that I’ve stepped in to help with my greatest asset – my taste,” the superstar explains.

Kim is seen chewing with her mouth full in cut after cut of the video after plant-based burgers, meatballs, tacos, and nuggets are paraded out. However, there is no footage of her devouring any Beyond Meat. That didn’t stop Kim from exclaiming, “So good!” and pumping her fist at the chef.
While the naysayers continued to slam the non-existent bites in the comments section, Kim found support from those who were pleased to see such a famous person raising awareness about meat alternatives.
“I get it, this is actually a way to reach a lot of new people because she has such a huge influence,” one fan wrote on Instagram, while another added, “Grateful for anyone and anything that advances plant-based food.”
Beyond Meat appears to have hoped for Kim’s sway when they added her to their list of celebrity ambassadors, which also includes Shay Mitchell, Kevin Hart, and Snoop Dogg. “As an icon synonymous with impeccable taste in food, fashion, beauty, and more,” the company said in a statement on their website.
“Kim will highlight the brand’s delicious, nutritious, and sustainable product portfolio with her signature recipes and engaging creative content.”
Co-signing Beyond Meat on their statement, Kim added, “As my fans know, my fridge and freezer are fully stocked with Beyond Meat’s products and I’m so thrilled to be featured in the campaign as its Chief Taste Consultant to inspire people to include Beyond Meat in their diets.”
Whether you like it or not, the partnership appears to have all the right ingredients, as the ad has already received over one million likes on Kim Kardashian’s Instagram page.
