“I had no relationship with money. The first salary I got was at the age of 13. I don’t even know how much I was paid,” the talented star said.

Jaya also discussed how women manage their money, revealing that they are changing their stance on financial management. Using her mother as an example, the actress revealed that her mother used to place money in a small kit in the name of God.

“I remember my mother (Indira Bhaduri) had a little kit, where she used to put money and say, ‘yeh bhagwan ke liye hai’. For them (older women) everything is ‘yeh bhagwan karega, yeh bhagwan ne kiya’ with good excuses.”
