Rihanna was seen grocery shopping in Los Angeles on October 4 and finally spoke out about her upcoming Super Bowl Halftime show!
When a TMZ reporter asked Riri how she felt about her upcoming milestone performance, she didn’t hold back (watch the video). “I’m nervous!” she exclaimed, adding, “but I’m excited!”

The person interviewing asked her who might be performing with her, and Rihanna simply shrugged and tossed up the peace sign. However, when the reporter inquired, “Could it be A$AP [Rocky]?” “Come on Rihanna, I’ve got to know!” she finally teased. “Perhaps girl.”
Rihanna’s comments about the performance come after a week following the Fenty Beauty founder officially announcing her participation in the 2023 Super Bowl on September 25, when she took to Instagram to share a photo of just her hand holding an NFL football with a single period in the caption.

The same day the announcement was made, Super Bowl Halftime producers Roc Nation and the NFL confirmed the news via Twitter. “Let’s GO – @Rihanna @NFL #SBLVII @AppleMusic @NFLonFOx”, Roc Nation tweeted. The NFL also reshared the tweet.
Since then, Rihanna’s fans have been eagerly awaiting the performance, which will take place six years after the singer has not released new music. Her most recent album, Anti, was released in 2016, following her 2012 release, Unapologetic.
In July, a source close to Rihanna stated that new music is on hold – at least for the time being – while the singer focuses on her new family.

“Rihanna has total control over when she releases her music, she’s not in a position that a lot of artists get in where the label is pressuring her [she runs her own imprint under Roc Nation] she calls the shots and she’s very clear that until she feels ready nothing is coming out,” the insider said.
However, now that she will be performing at the major event in February 2023, new music may be released to commemorate the occasion; after all, she has been spotted with her boyfriend numerous times at recording studios across the United States.
Rihanna and her boyfriend A$AP Rocky welcomed their first child together on May 13, 2022.
