She played the role of Sarla Arora for eight years in Kumkum Bhagya and later in Kundali Bhagya. The actress has decided to take a break after being a part of the hit series for such a long time. Kundali Bhagya will no longer include Supriya Shukla.

Supriya told a leading news portal that Sarla was a fascinating role when she was offered Kumkum Bhagya eight years ago. She had a lot of fun playing mother to Sriti Jha and Mrunal Thakur, and the character had a lot of layers. Supriya realized after many years of playing it that she didn’t have much to contribute to the show.
Fortunately, Sarla’s character was introduced in Kundali Bhagya, and she was once again playing a mother to two daughters, but this time the story was equally interesting, and she played the character for another four years.
She went on to say that she was also cast in Molkki. Supriya hasn’t gone out with her family in a few years, and more recently due to the pandemic, and she now wants to do other things. Shooting for two shows – Kundali Bhagya and Molkki – at the same time left her with little time to spend with her family. As a result, Supriya has decided to take a break from Sarla.

Sarla, the character she played, was also mentioned. While discussing it, she stated that she never used glycerine in her scenes and that she often had to cry even after the scene was over. Supriya stated that she used to cry for a long time after that.
She also feels that every character should have scope to contribute to the show. In the future she might again plan to come back on the show, Supriya concluded.
Supriya Shukla also talked about her role in Molkki. While talking about it she said that It is a negative role that she is playing in the sitcom. She has got a chance to essay a character like Prakashi Devi.
