Sidharth Shukla died on September 2 after suffering a heart attack. According to India Today, doctors advised the actor to scale down his workout and activities, but the Dil Se Dil Tak star insisted on continuing his training routine for three hours every day. On September 1, the actor complained to his mother, Rita Shukla, of chest pains, following which he fell asleep and did not wake up.

The actor was rushed to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, where his death was confirmed. While the autopsy has been conducted, his family has stated that there was no foul play involved in his death and that the actor was in good mental health.
