It appears a bouquet of flowers will not mend Meghan Markle’s estranged relationship with her father, Thomas Markle.
The Duchess of Sussex’s father claims he sent a bouquet of roses to his estranged daughter for her 40th birthday but has received no thanks from her.

Mr. Markle told TMZ that he sent a dozen red roses with two yellow roses in the middle to represent Meghan and Prince Harry’s two children, Archie, 2, and the newborn Lilibet. He also claims to have sent a card with the message, “Wishing you a happy birthday and brighter days.”
He told the outlet that he wants to be a part of his grandchildren’s lives, but that it’s OK if Meghan doesn’t respond to him.
Thomas’ tumultuous relationship with Meghan reached a climax in 2018, just before the royal couple’s wedding, when it was revealed that he staged photos for the press and leaked a personal letter from her to the tabloids.
Meghan, who now lives in Montecito, Calif., with Harry and their children after leaving the royal family, told Oprah Winfrey in March that she couldn’t forgive her father’s “betrayal.”
“I look at Archie, I think about this child and I genuinely can’t imagine doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child. I can’t imagine it, so it’s hard for me to reconcile that,” she said.

Thomas, 77, told Fox News last month that he planned to file a petition with California courts to try to see his grandchildren.
Meghan, meanwhile, received birthday greetings from the royal family, despite the couple allegedly being at odds since the couple’s explosive interview with Winfrey earlier this year.
