
The founder of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) Kamal Haasan has on Tuesday received his own dose of the COVID-19 vaccine according to a photo that was posted on Twitter that shows him taking the jab at Sri Ramachandra Hospital.

The Bollywood actor cum politician took the jab a day after the nationwide vaccination of the 60 plus age group and those aged between 45-59 with co-morbidities was rolled out with Prime Minister Narendra Modi being the first to get the shot on Monday.
“I took the coronavirus vaccine at Sri Ramachandra Hospital. Those who care not only for themselves but also for others should get vaccinated,” Haasan said in a tweet that was shared with a photo of him being vaccinated.
“Immunisation of the body immediately and vaccination against corruption next month. Get ready,” he said in reference to the April 6 Assembly elections.

Kamal Haasan has often time slammed the ruling AIADMK over corruption allegations, and now his party will contest the single-phase April 6 election next month.
