Former U.S. President Donald Trump will deliver a keynote address at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Sunday afternoon as he and his allies look to create a pathway for the Republican Party.

Though Trump has made a couple of public statements since he left office, which includes discussing the death of radio legend Rush Limbaugh and the car crash of his friend Tiger Woods with Fox News on phone.
But the public address, which is scheduled for 3:40 p.m., will be his first extended in-person public speaking engagement.
The former president is expected to slam President Biden on immigration, Keystone XL and Big Tech, according to a source close to the former president. He’s also expected to walk “right up to the line of announcing another campaign,” without actually committing.
Trump is expected to state his commitment to staying in the Republican Party rather than starting a new party as rumor has it. The 90 minutes or more address, which will also layout a “pathway” to taking back Congress in 2022 will be his first public appearance.
“We are not starting new parties, and we will not be dividing our power and our strength. Instead, we will be united and strong like never before,” Trump is expected to say, in an excerpt of the speech which was obtained by Fox News.
Trump is, however, expected to speak on his disappointment in Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., who has been criticized by a couple of CPAC attendees for her vote to impeach Trump in the January impeachment trial.

Trump will be in the midst of an extremely friendly crowd. MAGA hats are ubiquitous at the conference. There are even some folks wearing “Students for Trump” yarmulkes. Anyone who wants can pick up Trump merchandise at a number of kiosks.
